Sunday was a very laid back day. We woke up and had apple turnovers for breakfast. We relaxed around the house and all ended up taking a nap when Alyson did. After waking up, we had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. Alyson ate GREAT!! She had a slice of tomato, a cherry, and 1/4 of a grilled cheese sandwich. We then decided to drive down the road to the seafood market to get some fresh shrimp to make for dinner. Alyson played with Buc-ee in the car.
Alyson got to go to her first seafood market and smell the fresh fish, shrimp, and crab!
We came back to the house and Alyson ran everywhere in her walker while my Mom and I played Farkle. Alyson took another nap and we cooked dinner. She had a good dinner as well. Chicken Herb and Pasta baby food, apples, and another cherry (we have found out she really likes them). During dinner we watched Despicable Me. When the movie went off, we walked down to the beach to walk along the ocean for a little bit before it got dark.
Sunset in the neighborhood
A house with lost shoes on the fence posts.
As we were leaving the house, the firetruck from our neighborhood left in a hurry. While we continued to walk to the beach more firetrucks and ambulances came from the next town over, Jamaica Beach. When we got there, this was the only one we saw. I guess everything was ok because they left right as we got there.
Alyson enjoying her animal crackers as we walked along the beach. She kept reaching for the water wanting to get out and play. Haha!!
It's really hard to see, but this is a little ghost crab in the middle of the picture.
We got back to the house around dark and relaxed the rest of the night. It was nice to have a slow day at the house. My back got sunburned at the beach on Saturday, so it was nice to stay out of the sun for a day. Monday we plan to take Alyson to the pool to get her back to swimming like she was doing with lessons last week.
