Last Saturday Justin's company participated in CANstruction benefitting the North Texas Food Bank. It happens at Northpark Mall in Dallas every year. Basically, some of the engineering and architecture firms in the area come together for a competition building structures out of canned food. They draw their designs on the computer then on a Saturday have 6 hours to build it. Their work is then displayed in the mall for a couple weeks. After that, all of the food is donated to the North Texas Food Bank. (That's the quick, simple explanation.)
Last year I went with Justin and helped out. With having Alyson this year, I decided to go see it once they had it built. My parents and Kat/Sau joined Alyson and me to meet Justin for lunch at Maggiano's. Afterward we walked around to look at what everyone built. Of course I took pictures to share with you!! I didn't take pictures of all of them...just the ones that were the better ones. The awards ceremony was yesterday afternoon. Justin's company won 'most cans used' and 'best use of cans'.

This is a really great fundraiser for the food bank. All the designs will be on display through October 21st so if you're looking for something fun and cheap to do, head over to Northpark and check them out!! You will not be disappointed!!!
