Starting August out right!

Thursday I took Alyson to have lunch with Justin. He had band practice at church Wednesday night and was out late, so he didn't get to see Alyson before she went to bed. We had lunch at Hofmann Hots.
I had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich on a hotdog bun. Mmmm!!
Alyson had some of the tomatoes on my sandwich and onion strings!

After we took Justin back to work, Alyson was starting to get cranky and sleepy. I decided to take her to have a treat for being so good at lunch before we went home. :)
 She loves cake!!
Alyson and I shared the top left and bottom right. The top left is a lemon cake ball (lemon is my favorite flavor of cake). The bottom right is called a Laverne and Shirley (chocolate cake <my 2nd favorite flavor of cake> with chocolate chips and cream cheese icing). Mmmmm!!! The other two were ones we took home for Justin. The top right is a cake ball with yellow cake on the inside and chocolate on the outside (Justin's favorite combination of cake and icing). The bottom left is called a Happy Days (confetti cake with vanilla icing, covered in Justin's favorite sprinkles).

When we got home, Alyson and Mollie had a big time bonding moment. They played together for a loooong time. Mollie would walk circles around me while Alyson crawled behind "chasing" her. Alyson giggled and talked to Mollie while Mollie barked, wagged her tail, and gave Alyson kisses. I'm so glad Mollie was able to finally stop being so skiddish around Alyson and loosen up for them to become friends. :)

Thursday night Justin's parents came over to see Alyson and brought tacos for dinner. Alyson got to show them how she can walk around the perimeter of the living room along the couches, end tables, and chair. Her and Mollie played some more again...so sweet.

Friday we spent the entire day with my sister. We had sooo much fun. It has been a really long time since we spent the whole day together. We went shopping for things for her new classroom and stuff for Alyson's birthday party and worked on decorations for both.
She found a lollipop to be able to join the Lollipop Guild!!
While we were busy painting, Alyson was playing with Mollie. She kept peeking outside when Mollie went out the doggie door. I can see her following Mollie out in the not too distant future. Time to baby proof that area!!
At Walmart we couldn't find anyone to help us out in the fabric section. Kathryn felt we needed to leave a note to express our disappointment. ;)
(Kathryn is making me add this disclaimer before I say anything about this photo....NO, THEY ARE NOT HAVING A BABY!!!) We were wondering what will happen, someday a long time from now, when the time comes for me to throw them a baby shower. What color baby will we decorate with?!?! I told her it will have to be like mixing 2 colors of M&Ms in a bowl...we will have to buy both colors and I'll have to either mix and match body parts or just mix all the babies together in a bowl. HAHAHAHA!!!

The 3 of us had a great girls day hanging out, shopping, eating, and crafting. Alyson's birthday party decorations are coming together...just a few more things to work on. And next week we are going to help Kat out with decorating her new music room!! Overall a very successful and fun day!!
